Arbequina Olive – La Masrojana

Arbequina Olive is the little and tasty olive that has been cultivated for more than a thousand years in our regions (Priorat, Ribera d’Ebre and Terra alta). As all the products from the region, it stands out due to his concentration and clarity of the flavours and tastes.

Regarding Arbequina Olive‘s way of production, we can say that our farmers begin the harvest at the end of September until the beginning of October. Once we have the olive in the oil mill we classify it by size and colour, separating the ones that doesn’t fulfil our quality requirements and only utilizing the best ones. Once classified, we immediately introduce them in clay jars where we also put water, salt and aromatic herbs, and there is where all the elaboration process begins, which we control weekly.

After a few months, they are ready to be packed. The packaging of our products is handmade, utilizing glass or plastic jars with different formats, for the supermarkets and restaurants.

For example, we can use the arbequina olive to go with salads, aperitifs, brunches (typical Catalan bread with tomato and ham) and also with all kind of plates as an accompaniment.

Ingredients: Arbequina olive, wáter, salt and aromatic herbs.
